Yesterday Pakistan’s Chief Selector MISBAH UL HAQ Announced Pakistan Squad for New Zealand Tour. Tour will start with the T20I series on 18th December in Auckland. Pakistan will play 3 T20I matches and 2 Test Matches on this tour. NEW ZEALAND tour has always been tough for Pakistan especially in recent years, In the 2017 Pakistan team right after Winning the Champions Trophy, Lost the ODI series by 5-0 Against Kiwis in New Zealand. Kiwis have been dominant over the Pakistan Cricket team on their home grounds. So, this Tour is supposed to be a very tough Tour for Pakistan.
Remember Babar Azam Has been Captain of the longest format and it will be a tough challenge for him to win against kiwis on their home grounds. And in All that IMPORTANT and TOUGH Tour, Pakistan has Dropped MUHAMMAD AMIR from the squad Which means Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the bowling attack with some Young Pacers.
History Of Muhammad Amir:
If we talk About the history of Muhammad Amir, his past was not good. He made a big mistake that cost him badly in his career. Amir was Impressive in Domestic Cricket, he picked 55 wickets in his Debut season that earned him a call from National Team. He was called by his Idol Wasim Akram. He was very impressive in WC2009 for Pakistan and he carried his good form in ODI and Test Cricket too.
He played a Crucial role in Many of Pakistan’s victories. He became the YOUNGEST bowler to reach 50 wickets in Test Cricket. He alongside Muhammad Asif Destroyed many batting line ups. They were simply unstoppable at that time of their career. But Unfortunately, Amir made a big Mistake and He was banned by ICC and was sent to jail in 2011 for 5 years. They were the major Setback of Amir’s Career.
He couldn’t recover from that incident because making a comeback after 5 years isn’t easy.
Muhammad Amir After Comeback:
In August 2015, he was declared free to play all formats of the game from 2nd September 2015. And he finally made a comeback on Jan 15, 2016, against Kiwis in a T20I Match. He was firstly very Impressive and PCB invested in him a lot, they gave him confidence. and at the same Ground where he committed that mistake, he earned the respect Again. Every Pakistani Was Happy with him.
Indo Pak, Asia Cup 2016:
It was Asia Cup 2016 where Amir Shocked Everyone by Destroying the Top Order of INDIA, He announced his comeback in some style. He took (4-0- 18-3) Wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina. The Target was only 85 but he Made trouble for India.
Champions Trophy 2017:
Amir was Fantastic in the Final of Champions Trophy against England, he again Destroyed India’s Top-order Taking the wickets of VIRAT KOHLI, ROHIT SHARMA & SHIKAR DHAWAN. This is where he Played like a Match winner. He was a true Match winner of the final for Pakistan. That Spell was just Amazing the way he bowled that spell, Absolute Beauty.
Muhammad Amir In Recent Years:
In Recent 2 years, Amir has been Inconsistent with his performance. He hasn’t been impressive except for a few performances but Fans expect a lot from him. He hasn’t been a wicket-taker for Pakistan in recent years which is a shocking thing. The most important thing is that he has lost his pace, hardly bowling 135kph now, and remember Amir used to the ball over 140 consistently. So, his poor form continues and he then decided to Left Test Cricket right before the World championship started. That was a shocking decision by him and Everyone Criticized him in different ways.
Former Pakistani Cricketer Rashid Latif Said: “Amir Is Running Away From Cricket But Remember Cricket Will Never Come To You”
And Rashid Was proved right again and again when Amir got Dropped from the Squad Even Yesterday. Also, yesterday When he got Dropped, he showed a poor attitude on Twitter saying ‘MISBAH SAAB HI JANTY HOONGY ME KIUN DROP HUA HOON’ (Only Misbah Sir knows why I’m being dropped). So, these things will matter in the future.
Muhammad Amir For WC2021:
Now big confusion is that shall we play Amir in WC2021. My answer would be YES. Even today he can ball a lot better than some other pacers. He has the experience and we should use that experience for Wc2021. But PCB doesn’t seem to be doing that. Amir needs to improve his attitude first of all, and then his performance. He should work on his pace which is, unfortunately, getting low day by day. He must stay positive and should keep working hard to get his place in the team.
