Reason Behind Jasprit Bumrah’s Poor Form

Jasprit Jasbir Singh Bumrah is an Indian Fast bowler who is currently Ranked No.9 In Test, No.2 in ODI, and No.11 In T20 Internationals! He has been one of the consistent bowlers of Recent years. Since his Debut (23rd Jan 2016) he has been phenomenal with the ball typically in death Overs. He ranked No.1 in ODI bowling Rankings For a long time because of his consistency. He is amazingly CONSISTENT with his line & Length in death Overs. Before his Debut, India was Looking for a death bowler badly. They had no such bowler who can Bowl Consistent Yorkers and good variations in death overs to restrict the opposition on a Good total.

BUMRAH came from INDIAN PREMIUM LEAGUE where he represents MUMBAI INDIANS. The MI captain ROHIT SHARMA called him a Rare Talent and he backed him always. Bumrah performed well in IPL. In the latest edition, He took 27 Wickets in 15 Matches and was the second-highest wicket-taker After KAGISO RABADA. He has been phenomenal for his team again and again. Bumrah’s First Big Event was CHAMPIONS TROPHY where his Economy was really good (around 5) in death overs and that’s what India was looking for.

Bumrah Usually Bowls in both powers plays where line and length have to be very good. And He is the one who does that well. Before Bumrah made entry to the toughest format of the game, a big question was will he be a successful bowler in the test too? we all know bowling in Test is difficult for a bowler who is a shorter format specialist and Usually a very aggressive bowler. But kudos to Jasprit Jasbir Singh Bumrah who performed Amazingly well in that format too.

So Far, He in Test Cricket: Matches: 14, Wickets: 68, Avg: 20, 5-Wicket Hauls: 05, Economy: 2.69

So far so good, stats show! He made his Test Debut on 5th Jan 2018 against South Africa where he took 4 Wickets (1.3) in that match. But he has been decent in that format too for INDIA and that’s the reason he is INDIA’S best bowler Currently. If we talk about ODI Cricket, Jasprit Bumrah has been very good there.

Matches: 66, Wickets: 106, Avg: 25.40, Economy: 4.66

His Economy Shows how good he is with his line and length. He has been a threat for Opponents. He mostly Bowled in Death Overs and still having such a great economy shows how good he is with the ball in hand. If we talk about T20I cricket:

Matches: 50, Wickets: 59, Avg: 20.25, Economy: 6.66

Again, the economy is unreal. But After all of this, He has been Inconsistent in the year 2020 with the ball.

Jasprit Bumrah in ODI’S This Year: Overs: 66.1, Wickets: 02, Average: 180, Runs conceded: 360

So, this horrible form of JASPRIT BUMRAH Is costing India big times as India has now lost their last 5 ODI’S in a row! The REASON for this in my opinion is that he is playing too much cricket without Rest. He is the best bowler Of India and that’s the reason they don’t drop him often. So, Playing All the three formats plus IPL is proving out to be the main reason behind his poor form. There is a lot of Burden on him and he is not taking it well. So, India should think about This and they should utilize him well. If they keep playing him without proper rest, he will be finished before the time. I Hope He will bounce back even stronger!
